DRAM

DDR component enquiries, checked at the full ordering-code level. Share your required DRAM generation, exact MPN and quantity so the supply review starts with the right device.

Start with your approved part numbers

For an existing board, memory generation and capacity are only the first checks. Organization, package, speed, operating grade and revision can determine whether the offered device matches the approved BOM.

Micron’s catalog identifies MT40A1G16TD-062E AAT:F as a 16Gb, x16 DDR4 component. That is a device-identity example—not a stock offer. The chip capacity is expressed in bits; it should not be read as a 16GB module.

Ordering details that matter

Keep device identity and offered-lot details separate.

The most useful RFQ starts with an approved full manufacturer part number, then adds your commercial and acceptance requirements. Use the checks below to make those requirements clear.

What to include in your DRAM enquiry
CheckWhy it mattersWhat to send
DDR generation and densityA later generation or similar capacity is not automatically compatible.Give the exact approved part and capacity units.
Organization and packagex8 and x16 organization, ball layout and package options affect the design.Retain the organization and package information from the official device record.
Speed, grade and revisionCharacters after the base number can distinguish orderable devices.Preserve the full suffix and punctuation, including revision separators.
Packing and lot acceptanceOriginal carrier information and current lot condition are separate.Specify sealed-bag requirements, date-code window and mixed-lot policy.

Lot evidence and inspection

Define what needs to be verified before the order.

Review available lot labels, moisture-barrier packaging and handling information before acceptance. Any repacking or documentation gap should be clarified against your requirements.

Agree separately whether the laboratory scope is visual, structural or electrical. A device identity match does not establish that a DRAM will train, operate or meet timing margins in your system.

Find the right product information

Browse related procurement guidance or send an unlisted requirement.

Use these related pages to narrow the device identity and the evidence needed for your order. If your exact part is not listed, send the complete MPN and quantity. We review available stock and additional supply options against your requirements.

Pricing, lot details and delivery are confirmed in the quotation. For multiple parts, send your BOM with one ordering code per line.

Before you enquire

Is 16Gb the same as 16GB?

No. Gb describes gigabits and GB describes gigabytes. Preserve the manufacturer’s units, device organization and full part number in your enquiry.

Can DDR3L and DDR4 be quoted as substitutes?

They must not be treated as interchangeable. Submit only alternatives that your engineering team has approved for the specific design.

Bring us your exact requirement.

Full part number. Quantity. Required date.
We will review the supply options and the evidence your order needs.
